Our Great but Not so Good Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving Mark had a whole week off so we used our time wisely by going up the the family cabin with my side of the family. We love to go up there and it's nice to be around so much family when we go. We had my family, and then Grammy and Papa, Guy and Jen, and Gary and Amy. It was a lot of fun and all the kids had a blast! Roxy was in heaven with all the kids and endless exploring. Mark and Roxy had a lot of fun going out side and playing in the 4 inches of snow, which for the cabin at this time of the year is week. But they had a lot of fun. As for me I was in the cabin staying warm and trying not to move. The Saturday before Thanksgiving I got shingles and let me tell you they are not fun! I didn't want to move, be touched or even think about the two. I didn't know that there is medicine to help out with that until we got back into town and I was at my Dr.'s a week and a half after I broke out in them. But all is well that ends well right? I still have then but they are just about gone and no more pain. Well also when we were up at the cabin, a few people had some colds and poor Roxy got RSV again. Then Mark bless his heart was lucky enough to get a plugged eye duct. We really had it coming for us I guess. But we are all doing much better now. Needless to say it wasn't the best Thanksgiving ever but it will be the Thanksgiving we will never forget.

This was takin' right before Roxy and Mark headed outside.

Mark took Roxy on a 4-wheel ride and she loved it. She thought that she had to drive the whole time. Her hands were a little cold when she got back but she didn't mind at all.
Our family picture before we left the cabin. Thanks to every one that was up there. The food was so good and the company even better. We love you all

Better Late Than Never!

Our little lady bug! We had so much fun and Roxy had the time of her life! Needless to say Halloween was a blast for us. We had some good friends that go the the Mesa State Halls to trick-or-treat and they invited us to go. The kids there decortate the halls and then pass out candy given to them by the school. It was so much fun and the kids did a great job decorating. They had different thymes like board games, different books and all kinds of different things.
Roxy and I got all dressed up we couldn't get Mark to get into the Halloween spirit, but we had fun anyways.

This is the last place that we stoped at they just had all the candy out in a big tresure chest and the kids could get candy at their own will. Roxy had so much fun with this one.

You can't hear her say thank you but she did all night long and it just melted the hearts of the kids passing out candy. This hall was the board game- menopoly. The kids were so creative and Roxy got the hang of it really fast. Soon she was runing up to the doors with out anyone with her. Don't worry we still had a close watch on her. Roxy got so much candy and she has been so nice to share with her mom and dad. Thanks again Fullmers. That will be a Halloween that is going to be hard to top.

Dancing Diva

Our little Roxy has started her own dance club in our dinning room. She loves to break it down and just get funky! This is one night she was just goin' to town. So we thought that we should get the camera out to show just how funky this chicken can get. She was having so much fun and so were we. I thought I would share what this little dancin' diva could do. Hope you enjoy is as much as we did.

We we able to have Tanner my brother come down and visit us for the weekend. Roxy loved having Tanner here and wanted to do everything he did. It was really cute! All weekend she walked around the house saying, "Tanner, Tanner!" and whenever she wanted anything she wanted Tanner to give it to her. Nice break for me, and I think Tanner like all the attention that he was getting. But every morning that Tanner has been gone Roxy has been going the the door of the room that Tanner stayed in and knocking saying, "Tanner, let's go!" I have to explain to her that Tanner isn't hear and she wont believe me unless I open the door and let her see for herself. We had so much fun with Tanner and we were so happy that he could come down for the weekend! Thanks Tanner, we love you!

Moderate Comments

I know that we have a lot of pics with Roxy in her high chair but she is always a mess and we just love it! But I thought I would give a little update. Well things are going good, Mark can't wait for this weekend. He has a tag for Elk and Friday night is going out and maybe will will see him Sun maybe Mon maybe Tues. He keeps telling me that he is going to take work off to go hunting, but we will see. Every weekend this month he has a tag for something and he just can't wait to get out. Roxy and I are planning just a quite weekend. We have got Disney movies and lots of ice cream! We might head out and check out some yard sales too. But that's about it. Roxy just had her 15 month Dr visit and that went really well. The Doc says that Roxy is very advanced for her age and can't believe that she knows so many words. She also said that she is a very busy girl and gave pity unto me for the wild child and trying to grow one at the same time. This baby we have growing is even more active than Roxy was and so we are just planning on 2 off the wall girls. What more can a father ask for. HAHAHA!!! But we are really excited and can't wait for Jan to come for this little one. Oh I almost for got, I have some news. I don't know how good it is but they just put me into the primary presidency as the 1st counselor. One of my responsibilities is the primary program which is in 2 weeks! YES! LOL! I am just so overwhelmed right now I don't know what to do. The ladies that I work with are amazing and I am grateful for them, and they are a huge help, but still the feeling of inadequacy is still there. Just please keep me in your prayers. But ya other than that we are just dandy. We love you all and look forward to talking to you all soon.

Happy Birthday Mark

It's a little late but Happy Birthday Mark! Our big man turned 26 this year. He seemed to have a good birthday. After all we had a good day. I fixed a big breakfast with eggs, pancakes, bacon and hash browns. He opened his presents and we got ready for Montrose. We had a wedding to go to and then spent some time with Mark's family. Having Curry and brownies and ice cream, and the boys competitive in badminton, it was a full day and a lot of fun. Thanks again to Jeri and April for making it all happen. Roxy and I are so thankful for our husband/dad for all that he does for us. He is the hardest working man we know. Let a lone he has to put up with a lot from Roxy and I, pour man, I don't know what he will do when he has to please 3 women. Haha, but we are proud of him and all that he does for us. We love you Mark!

Our Big little Girl!

Yesterday marked a big day for us. Roxy went potty twice in the toilet. Our big girl is really growing up. I have been talking to her about it for quite some time and even putting her on just to see what she would do, but to no avail she would just cry and want to get off. Yesterday was a different story. She was all about the potty. Needless to say we are so proud of our big little girl. I took this picture while we were eating lunch and I was saying what a big girl she was. She got so happy and well the picture speaks for it's self.

It's A...

Well the big day has come. Yesterday we went to the Dr. to see the ultrasound of our second baby. Doc says everything is very healthy and good. He did say that the baby measured big, but he still is going to leave the due date at February 4. He said it will be a nice surprise when it comes early. I tried a few times to scan a picture of the baby but they just aren't turning out so well. Which I'm sad to say because he got some cool shots. So before we started I asked if while looking at the ultrasound if I could tell what it was before he told us. That was fun becausel I guessed it right, same with Mark.
Before we went to the appointment we took a poll to see what our family thought. Like 85% thought that we were having a boy and I am proud to say that we are having a girl! Roxy will have a good play mate, and we hope that they will be the best of friends.
I was debating if we should find out what we are going to have and now that I know I wish that I would have waited because I just want out little girl here. I think I would feel the same if we were having a boy too, but we are so happy for our new addition and can't wait for the new arrival.
We really haven't thought about names too much. It's really hard for Mark and I, because what I like he doesn't and whatever he says he is just joking around. But we do have a while to figure things out. We didn't know Roxy's name tell after she was born. So we will just have to see about this one. Any suggestions?

Way Over Due!

Hey Friends and Family, sorry about the non existing blog. Things have been so crazy around here that the time has seemed to have flown by. From trips to UT and back we have kept busy as bees. We have had a lot going on this summer so sorry we haven't posted all of it as we went. There will be much to catch up on and a lot to write about.

Well after Roxy's b-day we went up to UT for the 4th of July to celebrate Mark's family getting together. Mark's Great Grandma celebrated her 100th birthday and a family gathering. That was fun but made for a lot of running around. The really nice thing about it was that Mark's sister Anne and her family came out for it and they stayed until Ben, Mark's brother, got married. Which took place 2 weeks after the family gathering. Raquel was nice enough to let me do her hair and make up. We had fun and she was beautiful. Which that girl is beautiful even if she was dressed in rags. Then we had to send Aaron Mark's other brother off on his mission to Mexico. It sure bought back a lot of memories about Trevor, my brother. The week after that Roxy and I spent the week up in UT right before school started. We had a lot of fun. Anyways that is our summer in a nut shell.

I was going through some things and found this beanie that the hospital gave us when Roxy was born and it was so big on her then that it didn't even fit. So when I found it again I wanted to see how it fit on her this time around. HAHA She loved it and wanted to wear it for a few days despite the 99 degree weather. It kind of makes her look like a boy, I think that is why I find it so funny.

Roxy loves to spend time with her Daddy. If it's playing in the front room to mowing the lawn or putting a new CD player in the car, she will cry as if the world is ending if she can't be with him. It really makes Mark feel special and gives me the brake I need to do somethings too.

We are saying good bye to Uncle Aaron the night before he left for the MTC. Good lookin hair cut if I do say so myself. And for you who don't know yet, yes that is a baby bump. We are expecting our new addition to come sometime in the later part of Jan or early Feb. We will update on what we are having next week and a sure due date. Again sorry for the delay of updates but now things are slowing down and more time for blogging.

Our Big 1 Year Old!!!

June 20th our little baby grew up. Turning 1 is the big mile stone in our lives right now. Mark and I went in Roxy's room in the morning to wake her up before Mark had to go to work. This is her morning shot while we sang happy birthday.

After we got all cleaned up, Mark on his lunch break took some pictures of Roxy and this is one of my favorites.

We had a nice big family party Friday night with both sides of our families.

We sang happy birthday with a cake that didn't have a candle so we used a wooden kabob stick.

Then Saturday we had a friend party. We had gotten Roxy this swimming jungle gym if you will for her birthday and thought it would be fun to have some friends over to share the fun. Over all it was a very fun weekend. Thanks to all who came, we had fun!

Glade Park and Friday Night

Last Friday Mark, Roxy and I headed up to Glade Park for a free movie and a dinner. We had so much fun and it was all for a good cause too. Up in Glade Park they have a volunteer fire department and every Summer on Friday nights they have a free movie and you can eat dinner and candy. They have a free hay ride and live entertainment until the movie starts. They start the movie after it gets dark. It gets really cold but it was so much fun!!! Just make sure you have a lot of blankets. Anyone that wants to go we will so take you.

Graduation Comes and Goes

Happy Graduation Tanner! Way to GO! My Brother Tanner just graduated from good old Bountiful High. It was fun to see him and spend that time with him. He is a good lookin' kid, he just likes to pull funny faces. The crazy thing of all is that I graduated from the same school 5 years ago, I was a supper supper senior but hey I got it done right? J/K! I was done with every one else in my class. Time can realy fly when your having fun.

Roxy and Tan-tan

Roxy and I went up for Tanner but ended up staying another week. While we were there auntie and Kate and Kin helped Roxy get all dressed up like a pretty pretty princes. (side note- that is what she dose very time we say pretty pretty princes. She picks at her dress and tries to flick it up, ...who knows what is going on in her head.)

Roxy is a big fan of uncle Kade and loves to do all that he does so she was just hangin' out with him and getting a little grub. Two of her most favorite things to do.

We had a lot of fun, but we were always on the go. I think Roxy could have spent more time with my parents dog. She walks around our house going, "doggy, why, doggy" (Wylie is his name and trouble is his game, I think that is why Roxy likes him so much). But we had a blast. We are really sorry to all the friends and family that we didn't get to see. Half of the time I was there my phone wasn't even working and things were just crazy so sorry but we will be up a lot this summer. If we didn't get you this time we will get you some other time.

A Wonderful Surprise!

We all know that Roxy has been growing up so fast and some times it makes me miss that cuddly stage. Well about two-two in a half weeks ago we got a big surprise! Our little girl grew up just that much more when... she started to walk! If my little baby wasn't big enough she just had to go and add that to her list. She started out with a toy that we got her to walk around with and now she is all over the place. The thing that makes it so wonderful is that she knows that she can do something and I don't need to be right there with her. That can also lead to not so many good things. But I'm more of the cup is half full kind of girl. So we get a lot more done around the house. But I must say it is sad when she doesn't want me to hold her all the time! J/K It's nice. I still get the hugs every now and then but we can have fun on our own now and that is nice!

Roxy and her big smile!

Now that Roxy is a pro and going everywhere she thinks she can do anything and every thing. We went to Home Depot the other day and she wanted to get out and walk. I let her and I guess she thought that just because she can get out and walk she touch things like I do. So we were walking a long and I turned to look and something on another side, well some how Roxy managed to pull one of those huge ceramic planting pots on top of her. While she was going down I heard a big "oops" and "no no no". She didn't get hurt and after examining the pot I could only laugh. She knew that she had done wrong and chastised herself for it. Times like that I wish I had a camera stuck to my head.

Denver and Family

Wednesday of this last week we went to Denver for a training that Mark had to do for work. They payed for the hotel and all of Mark's food, we also get the gas payed for. So why not take the whole family for a nice trip. The first night that we got there we had a BBQ at Brian and Jocelyn's. Which was very nice of them, it also makes it even better then the food is really good. April was kind enough to come and see us at Brian's. It was nice to see Mark's side of the family. We did miss Michael though, but we are glad that April came anyway. Maddy and Camdon are Roxy's cousins and they had so much fun together. It didn't take Maddy too long to remember "Baby Roxy" but Camdon was all about "Hey Baby".

We had a lot of fun even Roxy warmed up to Uncle Brian.

Maddy and Camdon came over to our hotel to go for a swim. Camdon didn't care too much about the water but Maddy and Roxy were digging the pool. We all needed some time to relax after a day of shopping.

The last night we were there we meet up with some friends and family and headed to a pizza place and had a great time. We can't thank everyone enough for everything they did for us while we were there. We had so much fun, Thank you.

Road Trip

So sorry we are just a little behind the times. Our computer has been acting wacky lately and over all times have been crazy. But we finally get to just sit back for a little bit. Kind of. So not this past weekend but the last we went on a road trip. We headed to Salt Lake and surprised my Dad for his birthday. We then went to Bountiful to go to the temple and then to Provo to help Aaron (Mark's younger brother) move some of his stuff to Montrose from BYU then we headed over to Vernal to spend some time with Mark's mission trainer and his beautiful wife and very cute daughter who is only 2 months to the day older than Roxy, man a live, let me take a breath. So ya, we had a lot of fun even though most of it was in the car.

This is Ayva and Roxy they had so much fun together and just laughed and played the whole time we were there. It was fun for Roxy to play with some one that is just about her age
and size.
Ryan and Ayva, Mark and Roxy

So needless to say we had a blast and it was really nice to get out and have some fun. Sorry Brooke I didn't get our picture put up, but for sure next time it will be you and I.

Good Weekend

This past weekend we had such a good time.
Saturday we went and saw Auntie Brooke run track.
Brooke hurt her leg some how and had it all taped up.
She didn't beat any of her times because of that but she still ran faster than I could.

Great Form Brooke!
Even though Brooke was in a lot of pain
we sure did have a good time.
Mark got this pic of Roxy, which I love.
She was just having so much fun in her stroller and it totally captures her good times.

Our getting ready time

So getting ready for the day doesn't always happen for me. But when it does, Roxy wants to get ready too. So I let her brush her tooth(well now it's teeth but when the picture was taken it was only a tooth). She loves sitting in the sink and looking in the mirror. We have a good time laughing and sometimes dancing.

Don't worry I am always by her side. But as you can see she loves being in the sink. It also makes time getting ready take longer, but I have never had so much fun getting ready for the day.

A TOOTH X's 2

Yet again we go through the fever and runny nose and all for what? One mangy little tooth? Yes, Roxy now has two teeth. Man, little kids have to go through so much. Enough all ready! Well it's hard enough on the kids but what about the parents? Yesterday I got nothing done because Roxy wanted me to hold her all day. When Mark got home he started working on the yard and I couldn't help. Roxy was not feeling well and the only thing she wants is her bink and blanket and of course Mom. Which is nice for the most part, Roxy is trying to walk and so she is wanting to be more independent. So it's never when I want some hugs it's when she wants it. One of the many joys being a mom. Your time is never your own. Well I guess that goes for any married woman with kids or not, your own time is just less when there are kids.

Is it just Me?

So I just have to vent here for a bit. You see my brother Trevor is serving a mission in Perth Australia and I guess he is having a good time, but I wouldn't know because he stopped writing me! It seems like when I am writing a missionary the letters stop around 8-12 months, then just out of the blue I will get some random one when they just about get home. Is it just me or does anyone else have that problem? I write him every week but it sure is hard to keep writing when I get nothing back. Okay, now I can gain composure. Thanks!

Happy Easter

I don't know about all of you but we had a WONDERFUL Easter! My family came down Friday afternoon and stayed until Monday afternoon for their spring break(the kids are bummed that they only 2 days for a break). But we had a blast! We went to a park that we have here in town that is huge! It has 6 soccer fields, 1 baseball field, 2 basketball courts, a pond and 3 or 4 playgrounds, a ton of pavilions and a lot of walking trails and even running trails. So needless to say we spent most of our time there of course with the wonderful weather that we had to we just couldn't stay inside. Saturday we had lunch at the park and before we went, we stopped by Sonic for their Happy Hour where drinks are half off from 2-4. Needless to say was spent most of the day there at the park. Sunday came way too fast, but we had fun looking for our Easter baskets. You wouldn't think that it would be hard to find 9 Easter baskets in out little home but that Easter Bunny can sure hide them good. We had a lot of fun and we have a lot of candy. Roxy loved to find the eggs and pick then up by herself and then put them into her basket. We had a great dinner and a wonderful time. (Funny side note, I realized that we have a little Aerial on our hands. We watched Little Mermaid, and realized that Roxy dose the same move as Aerial. She is on the ground and pusses up with her arms and tills her head back. It is so funny with her red hair and just that she does it on her own. I will have to get a picture and post it.) But Roxy is sad that every one has left, she still looks around to see where everyone went. Thanks Mom and Dad for coming down. We sure do love you. Hope everyone had a good Easter.

A TOOTH!!!

Heaven to Betsy! Roxy's got a TOOTH! I couldn't believe it! Well her gums have been swollen and she has been drooling and chomping for a while now, but just two days ago it eased a little and yesterday it has cut trough the skin. She really hasn't been fussy but she did have a fever of 102, which is a little high for cutting a tooth, but she is fine now. She just must be one of those very few kids that when they get a fever they get it good. She hasn't bit me yet so lets all cross our fingers, shall we. It is just so crazy how fast they grow up. It almost makes me want to have another one. HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Just kidding NOT YET!

Explorer

Mark has been begging me to put up pictures of our new Explorer so I thought I would do it for him. Here it is. We have liked it a lot so whenever any one comes to visit we will travel in style other than trying to fit in the little rusty old, 2 door, Honda. Yes, we still have it and why not it runs like a beast! It's been through a lot but still is running! Way to go Honda. Okay so this post was for the Explorer but why on give a tribute to the cars that run and run and never get weary.

Shades Baby

Roxy had a hard time going out side because it was too bright for her so I thought I would get her some cute shades. She loves them when she is outside but once she gets inside she wants them off. I am the same way and like to see when I get inside so I don't blame her. But she looks so cute I couldn't help posting a pic.

House slide shows

Well every one keeps saying how they want to see the house, so I did some slide shows to show you. The first is of how the house was before we moved in. That is way it looks like an old movie because that is the old house. Then the next one is us in progress. Then when we are all done with the house I am going to post a big one and it will be the final one. But I wouldn't count on that one coming too soon. Maybe in June we will be done with the house. But come sprig(which is sooner than later here in Junction despite the rest of you that are forever in winter) we will do the landscaping. So I will show the out side of what we had, what will be going on and then the finished product. It is nice having your own house to make it your home, but you also have to pay for everything that goes wrong or any changes that needs to be made. But life goes on even if the pay check doesn't. I think that is why it is taking so long to finish the inside of the house, we are waiting for the money. Well, I know that is the reason. But needless to say that it will be done, two weeks before we sale the house in 3-5 years or by the end of this year. Who knows? That is the joy of it all. Can I give a shout out to all the home owners, Rock out to all the BILLS!!!!

Trip to Bountiful

Mark, Roxy and I headed to Bountiful this past weekend to get a lone for an explorer that we have purchased. On our way there we hit some pretty bad weather coming into Price and all the way through to Spanish Fork. At times it got really scary. Needless to say during that time of travel I didn't sleep. We saw, I think two cars off the road. Coming into Provo we stopped to see Mark's brothers Aaron and Ben and Ben's girlfriend Raquel. Aaron bought us dinner at the Creamery on 9th, which was amazing! (Thanks Aaron, your the Best!) Then we stopped by and saw Ben and Raquel. They couldn't believe how much she had grown. Then we finally got into Bountiful about 10:00 pm. Of cores every one was so excited to see Roxy. Then Saturday we had a good time running around town and in the evening Kat and Steve came up so I could cut Kat's hair. Mind you it looked so stinkin cute! I must say I do good work. Savanna and Roxy had a good time. Savanna was all about the ball and Roxy was all about Savanna. It was really good to see then, and we had a great time. Sunday came so quick, we went to church and I went to Young Women with my Mom because she was teaching the lesson and asked me to help with her with it. She did an amazing job by the way. A very good lesson about our personal worth and purpose on this earth. Kade's (my youngest brother) birthday was Monday so because we were there we kind of celebrated it on Sunday. We had a wonderful BBQ Rib dinner. The cousins came along with Grandma and Grandpa Great (we call them that because they are Roxy's great grandparents and they are great people). We had a very nice time, although we had to cut the party short and head out, trying to get over Solder Summit before dark but we had a few stops before we got to Spanish Fork. When we ran around town with my parents we got a present for Kade's birthday and left it in our car so Kade wouldn't see it. Well we took off with it. So before we hit Orem my dad called and asked if we could take it to Grammy and Papa's which I wanted to stop by and see them anyway, so it gave us a good reason to stop by. Then we forgot to give Aaron some cowboy boots that he wanted from Dave (my father-in-law) so we made a second stop by his apartment and saw Ben and Aaron one more time and meet Aaron's friend Brie. She was way cute and very nice. So... After all that we finally got up the summit. This time around it was worse than when we came. People were only going 30 to 20 mph. It was CRAZY! we saw at least 5 cars off the road. Needless to say I didn't sleep through that part of the drive either. It took us two hours to get form Spanish Fork to Price which only takes 45 min to and hour. Then we had to make a few pit stops along the way and we didn't get back home tell 11:30pm or so. It was a lot of driving for such a short trip but to me it was worth it. We did have a lot of fun and it was good to see family and friends once again.

P.S. I forgot to put that Roxy loves her uncle Kade and every time he played with her he got a great big kiss. The last picture is Roxy giving Kade a big kiss goodbye. It was soooo cute!
